We recently finished the logo for our friends at Bearcat Records, who are based in Montreal.
The logo is based on a photo of the cat "Bear" standing on top of an Ampex 499 reel-to-reel tape deck and is inspired by the art-deco record label of the 40's, such as the original HMV logo.
it was actually originally the Gramophone Company (Became EMI and HMV) in the UK and Victor (which became RCA) in the US that had rights. With Gramophone owning the original painting.
