The Idea of a Tree

The Idea of a Tree by Mischer Traxler is an autonomous production method that uses manufacturing with Mother Nature at the controls.

Driven by solar energy, an apparatus pulls threads first through a colouring and glue agent, and then winds it around and around a mould. The greater the sun intensity, the faster the apparatus spins, resulting in thicker cross-sections and a lighter colour.

It's kind of like gardening, but instead of carrots, you get lamps and seating!
